It is really exciting to have a Siemens PLC, for a long time we have carried out tests on some Industrial controllers, in this case we have a Siemens PLC, one of the most recognized at the level of Industrial automation.
In this case I have a Siemens S7 – 1200 PLC available:
- Reference: CPU 1212C DC/DC/DC 6ES7 212-1AE31-0XB0.
- Digital Inputs: DI 8 X 24VDC.
- Digital Outputs: DQ 6X24VDC 0.5 A.
- Analog Inputs: AI 2X10 BIT 0-10VDC.
- Analog Input: AI 2X10 BIT 0-10VDC.

TIA Portal Programming Software
The TIA Portal is the programming environment for these PLCs.

This environment allows you to program PLC S7-300 S7-400 S7-1200 and S7-1500, it also allows you to configure and program your HMI and Scada WINCC.

Conclusions
For a long time, tests and integrations with these Siemens Industrial controllers have been wanted.
In future tutorials we will integrate the Modbus TCP/IP Protocol available in these controllers, Profinet, communications with Node-RED and the ESP32 modules, Master and slave mode in ESP-IDF.
The TIA portal requires a large amount of resources, for this reason it has been decided to install version 15, which is stable and allows virtualization, I also suggest installing it on an operating system without more software installed, for its correct execution.
