Category: Projects
We will collect ideas and small tests that are evolving to projects such as:
Electronic design
The Art of designing, modifying, requesting a problem related to Electronics, we will mix everything a bit but we will focus on the design, development and revision.
we will collect the 3 branches:
Hardware: Schematic diagrams, PCB’S and Welding.
Firmware: Oriented to microcontrolled systems.
Software: Software Oriented and / or Programming Languages.
LoRa & LoRaWAN
In this space we will perform some tests to get started in LPWAN networks (Low-Power Wide-Area Network) using the LoRa Modulation and later we will implement LoRaWAN.
Measurements DC Voltage, Batteries and Solar Panels.
We will collect, tests with circuits, integrated, sources, batteries, capacitors, solar panels and everything related to DC voltage measurement methods.
We will also integrate some measurements to platforms to visualize data locally or from the Internet.
Measurement of Electric Consumption
We will collect tests, assemblies, circuits, integrated, transformers, inverter phase controls and meters for single and three phase electric consumption.
We will also integrate some measurements to platforms to visualize data locally or from the Internet.
IRC Control
Implement IRC Chat to create interactivity and communication “Send data bidirectionally” over the Internet, without so many complications using platforms such as ESP8266 or ESP32.
Emoncms platform
We will present tests and Dashboard with data in real time with this platform 100% Opensource.
Integrations & Gateway
We will perform simple tests and integrations of protocols, platforms and technologies.
Install drivers and (UDP Packet Forwarder) Raspberry Pi with Gateway RAK833 Version USB / SPI LoRaWAN # 5
In previous tutorials we reviewed our Gateway using the RAK833, the Radio module created by RAKWireless, adding a Raspberry Pi we can create a professional and functional gateway for our LoRaWAN implementations. Important: This tutorial is only focused on the RAK833 that have USB and SPI communication, for the SPI version another driver and another…
Review HELTEC Module (WIFI LoRa 32) 915-868Mhz for LoRaWAN #4
I have been collecting information about functional nodes for basic LoRaWAN tests for a while. This time I present the HELTEC LoRa 32 v1 Wifi module, it collects several interesting functions in IoT applications. This node is the integration of an ESP32 and a LoRa Chip SX1276 (868-915Mhz) 0.96 inch Oled screen, usb-serial converter CP2102….
Review Module RAK811 LoRa Node AT-Commands LoRaWAN # 3
Some time ago, in previous tutorials we have already determined some factors to choose the appropriate gateway (gateway LoRaWAN) for your LoRaWAN application, this tutorial was created gathering considerations before starting, with considerations scopes and concepts about LoRaWAN. Based on these considerations, a robust, powerful and functional gateway or gateway has been assembled according to…
Making Motherboard, Rapid Prototyping with JLCPCB.com
A colleague has designed a rapid prototyping system, mixing practicality with robustness in the assembly of DIY projects, integrating assembly of ESP32 modules, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Lora I / O ADC, sensors and relays among other peripherals for external assembly. Initially, pcb’s were created in an artisanal way for tests, after tests it has been…
Review Gateway Concentrator RAK833 SPI/USB mPCIe (Multichannel) LoRaWAN # 2
In previous tutorials we have already determined some factors to choose the appropriate (gateway LoRaWAN) for your LoRaWAN application, there are many hardware solutions available, but I have chosen the RAK833-SPI / USB from RAKwireless, a LoRaWAN hub module that It allows to create a multichannel gateway, I consider it the cost-effective option in relation…
Getting started, considerations and concepts LoRaWAN # 1
PDAControl has proposed to carry out tests and documentation to allow you to create your own LoRaWAN network and not fail in the attempt, before starting tests we want to analyze and make some clarifications, on basic concepts that we must take into account before starting to connect and program. In this tutorial we do…
Introduction to Lora Server Platform IoT LoRaWAN
Loraserver is a project started in 2015, it is an open source LoRaWAN server, the project provides the components to create LPWAN networks based on LoRaWAN, it includes a user-friendly web interface and the gRPC and REST APIs, each component or module is configurable and they also allow exchange according to the needs of their…
Meter PZEM-004 + Arduino Nano Modbus RTU (RS232) & Platform IoT Node-RED
Originally this test is performed in June 2018 in less than one year, for reasons of availability do not publish, technically just missing the documentation, then I will present the results, well they say there is better late than never. In this opportunity our PZEM-004 meter or it is also possible with our PZEM-004T communication…
Initial Review Meter PZEM-016 Modbus RTU RS485 by PeaceFair
In previous tutorials, we conducted tests with the PZEM-004 y PZEM-004T with display, single-phase power consumption meters , which have great potential for basic applications of electrical consumption measurement or active power. For some months I have a new Peacefair PZEM-016 meter which has features and additional improvements which we will see in the following…
